Occipitus

Occipitus was once part of Celestia, but was torn from that goodly plane and hurled into the Abyss during wars between demons and celestials. It is formed from the body of a dead god – the fleshy ground is his skin and sinew, and the great skull and the flame erupting from its eyes mark his former head. The battles that were once fought here still leave their mark, as the bodies of demons and celestials alike are slowly absorbed by the plane in bizarre, fluid-filled cysts. In addition to the great skull, the other major landmark on Occipitus is the Cathedral of Feathers, one of the only remnants of Celestia to have survived.

Occipitus was once ruled by a demon lord named Adimarchus, and his now vacant throne is open for anyone willing and able to pass three tests – the Test of Judgment, the Test of Resolve, and the Test of Sacrifice. Or so says the teleporting mummy lord running the show in Occipitus. The sacrifice bit apparently involves the sacrifice of an ally of yours. Yuck.
