Uwa

Uwa is a smallish world almost completely covered in calm, shallow seas, with only a few scattered islands. It offers a dense oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere that visitors can adjust to without much difficulty. Most of its 3 billion inhabitants are the native Uwaani, an aquatic, amphibious species.

The people of Uwa are governed by a representative democracy that has remained stable for at least two hundred years. Local laws restrict most personal firearms.

Uwa has a class-C starport but sees a fair amount of traffic, especially in human tourists who come to take advantage of the warm climate and peaceful waters.

While the locals lack the technology and infrastructure to build spacecraft, they are a fairly advanced society.
