The second most-anticipated holiday in Adfeld after Trademeet, Heartsmeld is a day dedicated to the celebration of love on the first day of autumn. A festival of music and dancing is held in the streets, with singles encouraged to mingle with strangers while lovers spend quality time together.

Traditionally, a large quantity of white wine and vanilla cake are distributed to all citizens at no expense, all paid for with commons directly from the reigning queen’s coffers. As a consequence, Adfeld’s baking and wine industries have become incredibly robust over the centuries to meet the yearly demand. Many historians attribute the popularity of past queens to successful Heartsmeld days, with the most cynical among them criticizing it as a day of bread and circuses.
